WaveEater is an innovative, convenient, floating breakwater system designed for various waterfront applications that is both easy to install and environmentally safe. Click to learn more about the history behind our wave attenuation devices.
Our breakwater devices are constructed of linear low density molded polyethylene with a high density polyethylene tubular core. The interior is hollow which is filled with water at installation until the units are two-thirds submerged. The exterior has a series of baffles that agitate back and forth as the waves strike the system.
- Model 1224 - 12" x 24". Ideal for swim area markers, aeration floats and jet ski barriers.
- Model 3636 - 36" x 36". A variety of uses including wave attenuation, erosion control and debris booms.
WaveEater Model 3636WaveEater Model 3636 has been in use for over sixteen (16) years. It is used in any number of applications including; wave attenuation, dam protection, shore erosion control and debris booms in the US and other parts of the world.
Constructed from high strength molded polyethylene the units are 36” (91.4cm) in diameter by 36” (91.4cm) long. There is a 2” (5cm) fill hole if partial submergence is required. An option is a ¾” (22mm).
Standard colors are high visibility orange and white. Other attenuator colors are available on request, (minimum 50 units). Refer to color palette.
Costs are as low as $150.00 per lineal foot of wave dissipation system installed.
WaveEater designs are most generally constructed in three effective dissipation configurations;Straight Line, Sawtooth, or Grid patterns.
In deciding which attenuator system is right for you consult with factory engineering support or refer to the wave dissipation chart. Other important factors to consider are the length of the water column and lessening of water depth as the wave approaches shore.
WaveEater Model 1224WaveEater Model 1224 is a premier product for use in open water swim areas and as a beach erosion mitigation system in small environmentally sensitive locations.
Many State Parks and Homeowners Associations have found the 1224 breakwater system to be far superior to other forms of wave attenuators. The size of the attenuators allows them to be seen from much further away, and the option of submerging them partially to create some wave attenuation is a benefit to the area users.
Due to our manufacturing process of molded polyethylene and UV inhibitors, these wave attenuators have a far longer life span than other products currently on the market.
Since 1995 there have been wave barrier systems in place with no required replacement parts due to material degradation.
Constructed from high strength molded polyethylene the wave attenuators are 12” in diameter by 24” long. There is a ¾” fill hole if partial submergence is required.
Standard colors are high visibility orange and white. Other colors are available on request, (minimum 50 units).
Costs are as low as $40.00 per lineal foot of breakwater system.
